Another Busy Weekend.

Oliver likes to "help" his mom stretch.

I love crafting with kids. We made banners from book pages, and next craft day we will be making crowns from toilet paper rolls.

I love jam, and am always on the lookout for something new. I think it's time to make a batch of biscuits.

Asheville passed a bill allowing alcohol sales as early as 10am on Sundays. (Tourists were very cranky and vocal about having to wait until noon to get a drink) Hi-Wire brewery celebrated by having beer and brunch. Brewier and I hadn't planned on going, but it seemed like a good idea after walking around the hot flea market all morning.

After two weeks of very Florida like weather, a cold front blew through taking the outlandish humidity with it, and returning our skies to their normal crystalline blue.

We have french doors and a sliding glass door along the second floor on the back of our house. They lead to a deck that is 14 feet off the ground. There aren't any nearby trees, or stairs leading up to the deck, but that didn't stop a bear from making an early morning visit. Yes, those are his paw prints. When I went to bed the night before, I considered leaving the doors open because of the delicious cool air, but was afraid a raccoon or bobcat might get in, so I shut and locked them. I will never have second thoughts about closing them again.

Sunday night dinner. I love a good burger.

Fresh peach gallette for dessert tonight.

first of all - YUM on that gallette. Yikes on the upstairs bear visitor! and woo hoo on the jams, jellies and preserves - I'm a fan also - try new things often (much to my dear hubby's consternation) - best thing recently was from Costco - organic mango, orange, passion fruit by E. D. Smith. Big yes on that biscuit idea -
Good blog post - you sound very good and upbeat
