Who Knew Rice Could Be So Much Fun.

It's been a cold, stay inside kind of day. As I type this the wind is howling, and with the wind chill we're at -6 degrees. The morning was filled with pillow jumping, and ice poking, then in the afternoon Oliver and I made a rice filled, red felted heart, to heat and take to bed at night. (Bad idea by the way, in that he's keeping himself awake, playing with the heart.) When we were finished with our project. Oliver asked to play with the left over rice, which he did for the entire afternoon. It was like a miracle or something. Of course, by the end of the day I had a pound and a half of rice scattered all over the floor, which proved very precarious for us adults who tried to walk across the kitchen without slipping and falling.
