Lets Play Catch Up.

Ugh. I hate when I fall behind in blogging.
Friday it snowed and this was the gorgeous view from our deck.

Today it is 72 degrees.

The weekend was fun. There wasn't any heavy machinery running, and the weather was beautiful. Saturday morning we spent going through boxes in the garage...and yet there are still more to go through. After much dirty and dusty work, we showered and went to the Biltmore. I had received a notice from them that morning, informing me of an exclusive wine tasting for passholders. Five wine stations, each with several different types of wine, chocolates and cheese; it was a perfect way to decompress from the stress of our house. After the sampling, we sat on the patio of the winery and ordered a bottle of wine, a cheese plate and an olive plate. It was such a wonderful way to end the afternoon.

Sunday was more unpacking. It's gotten to the point that we can't unpack anymore until we have a garage sale and get rid of more stuff. We are really paring down. Most of our days follow a routine of waking and getting dressed, then heading out to Mountain Mojo for coffee. We know all the baristas, and the owner by name, and they start making our americanos as soon as we walk through the door. Its worth the 12 mile drive there.

Oliver still is asking to go home to the White House, and this morning after telling him once again that someone else lives there now, he replied in a sad voice, "It's all done now. It's over." And then we wept.

:-( Now I'm weeping. He is so adorable even when he is sad.

that's just too sad - nothing is all over when you are Oliver's age - everything is still possible

That perches in the soul
And sings the tune without the words
And never stops at all.”
