So nice to see the good old Aussie pav being enjoyed everywhere. Not the season for it here at the moment!

That dessert made my mouth water!

Still sick here. I got you note about the bottle cutter. I have wanted one for a long time. I saw this idea where they cut a big cider jug and made wooden spacer plates to go between the 3 rings of glass. It was so cool looking! They had different cheeses and crackers each layer.

I was about to comment on the Aussie Pavlova, but Amy beat me to it! Plus I noticed that the name of the picture was "kiwi-pav."
Let's just say that that Aussies & Kiwis have "issues" over the ownership of certain cultural icons...
But that doesn't have to stop you from enjoying the pav!

Alright please forgive me but I have no clue what Aussie Pavlova is, but I do know it looks darn good! I'm going to have to google it to figure out how I can make one too!! :)

That dessert looks really good-simple and cooling.

I think they call it kiwi pav because of the kiwi fruit, not because the New Zealanders are trying to claim it, though they probably do! Nigella Lawson has a FABULOUS chocolate pav recipe - you should try it.

OK, since 2 other Aussies (I note from my family - we do love our food) have commented on the pavlova, I'll follow - it looks ALMOST perfect, the only thing Aussies would add would be passionfruit! It's a marriage made in heaven!
